Connection to PC

Connection to PC using a USB device:

The enclosed USB cable is required as a data cable for devices with USB connection.

Do not connect the USB cable to the PC. In order for data exchange (device – PC) to be able to take place you must install the "KETTLER USB driver" first. You can install this from the DVD's start screen. You will find this in the "KETTLER USB DRIVER" directory on the DVD or possibly a more up-to-date version on our website http://de.sport.kettler.net/service-center/software-trainingsgeraete/usb-treiber.html. Please note the information in the "Install KETTLER USB Driver.pdf" file. A firmware update of the device's electronic display might be necessary or possible. You can also find the latest firmware and description of installation on our website page "Software for training devices".

 

Connection of control panel

This connection can be made directly in series or using the enclosed USB to serial adapter.

Connection of control panel to PC using USB to serial adapter (Install "USB-to-Serial"!)
 
With devices with USB connection, the control panel's cable is not a data cable but is merely used to operate the program from the device. Therefore, it only has to be connected to the PC and not the device. You can install the necessary "USB-to-Serial" driver from the DVD's start screen. You can find this in the "FTDI USB to serial Converter" directory on the DVD or possibly a more up-to-date version on our website page http://de.sport.kettler.net/service-center/software-trainingsgeraete/usb-treiber.html.

Wind up the cable for the control panel's unused connector and put it aside.

Plug "2 cable connectors" into the PC's COM port.

KETTLER devices with serial connection:

With devices with serial connection, the control panel's cable serves as a data cable and is used to operate the program.

Connection of KETTLER devices with serial connection directly to the PC or using USB to serial adapter (Install "USB-to-Serial" driver!)
 
Plug the right control panel connector into the KETTLER training device's interface. Either connect the other one directly in series or using the enclosed USB to serial adapter (Install "USB-to-Serial" driver!) to the PC.
 
The enclosed USB cable is not required! KETTLER USB driver does not need to be installed!

Installation of driver

You can check the installation of drivers in the operating system's (XP, Vista, WIN7) device manager.

KETTLER device with Bluetooth

Requirements:

The Bluetooth adapter should be listed in device manager as follows.

The best results are achieved using the Generic Bluetooth Radio driver. Most standard Bluetooth adapters can be used with this driver. The driver is supplied with Windows. It is possible to change it afterwards by updating the driver and selecting it manually.

Add device 

Devices can be added under the control panel section Devices and Printers under Add Device .

Windows displays a list of available devices. Set the Bluetooth device to visible mode beforehand, as described in the manual.

Check device

The device is now listed under Devices and Printers as well as underBluetooth Devices:

Other entries should be under Connections in Device Manager:

Voraussetzungen:

  • KETTLER WORLD TOURS in der aktuellsten Version.
  • Firmware des Displays ist auf dem aktuellen Stand.
    Updates gibt es unter software.kettler.de
    Eine Beschreibung des Ablaufs finden Sie beim Update in den jeweiligen PDF Dateien.
  • Mindestens Microsoft Windows 10 in der Version 1709
    Prüfbar unter: Start -> Einstellungen -> System -> Info -> Windows Spezifikationen:
  • Bluetooth Modul/Stick mit mindestens Bluetooth 4.0.
    Am besten mit den Standard Microsoft Treibern:

Kopplung des Displays mit Windows 10:

  1. Am Display muss Bluetooth aktiviert sein und sich im App / PC Modus befinden:
  2. Gehen Sie unter Windows 10 zu den Bluetooth- und andere Geräte.
    Start -> Einstellungen -> Geräte -> Bluetooth- und andere Geräte
    Klicken Sie auf Bluetooth- oder anderes Gerät hinzufügen
  3. Wählen Sie Bluetooth aus und suchen Sie im folgedialog Ihr Trainingsgerät aus:
  4. Nach der Auswahl des Gerätes erscheint die PIN Abfrage:
  5. Zeitgleich zeigt das Display den PIN Code an:
  6. Geben Sie diesen ein und bestätigen Sie mit Verbinden.
    Das Display zeigt nun an das es verbunden ist.
